I've been meaning to give this spot the proper review it deserves! I visited on a Saturday evening and loved the vibrant, club-like aesthetic. I ordered the sampler and quesadillas, and the owner's son provided attentive and excellent customer service. Although they had run out of empanadas, he offered to make a fresh batch if I could wait 10 minutes, to which I eagerly agreed. My food was ready promptly, and even though it was a to-go order, I regret not dining in. The portions were generous, and the salsas truly enhanced the already delectable food. They had a mango salsa that I had never tasted before, and wow, it was fantastic.

We've been to the Taco Stand before and I'd honestly put this place above them when it comes to specialty tacos. The restaurant itself is super industrial/casual looking. Not a lot of seating but thankfully it wasn't packed so we were able to sit at a booth. I'm Mexican so the vibe really felt like I was in my abuelitas kitchen. We ordered 2 Mexicali, 1 crispy shrimp, and 1 pescado tacos. The Mexicali was delicious!! I was kind of wary when I knew there was mashed potatoes in it but it totally meshed well with everything else in the taco. The fish taco was so good, great batter, great toppings, perfect amount of crema, and even had pickled onions. We also ordered the chips and salsa and the chips were homemade. Overall, delicious tacos, great vibes. Would come again.

I tried many tacos on my trip to San Diego. This place had the BEST ones out of all the taco joints I tried. I had the quesabirria taco, cochinita pibil, and elote asado. I was honestly surprised and impressed by how amazing the food was. I wish I lived here and could eat here everyday. But I can't.

Tacos were really good here! Located in North Park, this place is a great place to try tacos. There was a little difficulty for me to find parking here. There are many restaurants and bars near here so it may be a little walk to find parking. When going here, the line for food was not too long however I have heard of it being crowded during peak hours. The service was really good and the staff was very nice. They were quick to take our orders and the food came out really quickly. The ambiance of the place is nice. It is a bit on the smaller end but that is not a knock to the establishment. It is clean and well kept.
